I am a designer, photographer and artist. I am interested in how we see the world. My practice is rooted in deconstruction and reconstruction, light, and ways of seeing. I use photography as a starting point in my work, to explore all that is around me. My established career as a Graphic Designer and Art Director for London Publishing Houses and the Music Industry, helps to inform my work and compositions, often using old design processes combined with the new, and drawing on life experiences. In my new studio, I am exploring my own practice further, and have found myself drawn towards encaustic and mixed mediums, my work shows the balance of the graphic designer, and the now more experimental work, pullling me in new directions.

I love the sea and am at my happiest by it, and it’s where I think. I work in a shed, mostly, not by the sea. The Sea Shed Studio is where I gather and explore creative ideas, it’s no one place.

I studied for my MA in Communication Design (Distinction + Commendation for academic achievement) at Kingston University after many years in industry.
